I am a TrendStartr...

Hello and how's your hair today? Mine has been doing absolutely fabulously since I did the keratin treatment on it and I'm so happy. It doesn't go curly or frizzy in the rain and wind, and I don't have to straighten it everyday which I'm so happy about!

Today's post is about this new social platform I found which is called 'TrendStartr' and it seems really cool. I was scouted out by the company as it is quite new still so get in whilst it's still young and fresh! Here's the link [click here] to my profile if you would like to check it out and follow me :)

Here are some pictures of new braid styles that I found -

(This one is so amazing!)

I also got some buff braids...

(so cute)

(she reminds me of a mermaid)

Also my exchange partner is going to be here tomorrow which is really exciting and we'll be going up to London town to see what fabulous things there are :)

I'll post pics!

Straight Conditioning...

Hello and how's your hair today? I did my research as promised and I got some deep conditioning ideas and I really hope this helps a lot of people! My first and probably best idea is the Brazilian Keratin Treatment - I know you're supposed to save best till last but it was just too good.

Organix Ever Straight Brazilian Keratin Therapy 30 Day Smoothing Treatment Review

It is quite a mouthful, but trust me it totally makes up for it. To sum it up, it's a home treatment that DEEP conditions, straightens, and beautifies your hair all in one go. It's hard to believe but it's absolutely true. It contains a substance called keratin which is what your hair is made of anyway, and essentially the whole process is coating your hair in this substance that protects from harsh weather, stops frizz and crazy curling, and most importantly if you have over processed hair from perms, dyes, and anything else, will save your hair with the deep conditioning.

Also, it smells GORGEOUS.

I'm going to run through the basic steps and really show you how easy and simple it is.

1) In the box, there is a shampoo provided which is supposed to completely strip your hair of all oils and moisture. Important to note that you shouldn't condition your hair afterward as it will stop the keratin from reaching the cuticles. After washing with this, you hair will feel very dry and it will be at it's most vulnerable so you have to be gentle when towel drying.

2) Towel dry hair until approx. 80% dry, (or just slightly dryer than damp) and part hair into 2 or 4 sections so it's easier to manage. Pour the treatment into some sort of container so that a fine tooth comb can fit in it. Using the comb, start at the roots and work your way down to the tip, spreading an even amount of the cream through your hair in 2 inch sections. Leave on for 30 minutes.

3) After the 30 minutes, blow-dry your hair with a brush or if you have an air brush (like me, invest in one it makes drying hair soooo much easier) use this as it has a brush attachment. Then using straighteners (preferably 230ºC = 446ºF) straighten sections of your hair about 7 - 10 times each in 2 inch sections. There's no need to panic as there is heat protection in the treatment.

4) Your hair should feel and look glossy, shiny and healthy. You mustn't put you hair in a hairband, tuck it behind your ears or bend it in anyway for 48 hours or it will take the shape. If it does happen, straighten it out. After 48 hours, wash hair out with sulfate free shampoo and conditioner. (I've read a lot of reviews on the keratin therapy shampoo and conditioner and it does not seem to be good. However the Nourishing Coconut Milk shampoo and conditioner by Organix seem to be very good and I've used it myself. They also smell heavenly!)

5) Voila! Your hair is done! I also bought the Brazilian Keratin Therapy Anti-Breakage Serum which is PERFECT. It adds shine, gloss, de-frizzes and tops up the treatment, making it last longer.

Honestly guys, you can thank me later.

I've done the process and I am astounded with the results. I feel so happy that I've found a straightening, de-frizzing, deep conditioning treatment in one bottle and I encourage you to do the same!
